Hello all, This game has had its ups and downs but now its out and looks very tasty. Wheelman if you didn't know stars Van Diesal as an undercover operative and highly skilled driver, who behind the wheel of any vehicle can the most deadliest person in the world. Anyway in the game you have to infiltrate the criminal underworld in Barcelona to gather information about a covert heist. During the game you must build tension between the rival city gangs and try to stay out of trouble with the law. SO with a little bit of the storyline exposed i have two clips for you one being the UK trailer and the other some gameplay from one of the levels in the game.

Remember this game is out now so if you like what you see go grab a copy or rent it.
I know i'll rent it at some point because i have too many games to play at the moment!

HELLO people, Lee here. Yes i have possibly one the most anticipated games coming out this year, RESIDENT EVIL 5. Yes i cued in the cold waiting to get my copy of the game and also to play as CHRIS REDFIELD to take on another outbreak. OK I'm only on chapter 2 and this game i can't put down (even though I'm writing this at work).

BIG SISTERS CONFIRMED IN BIOSHOCK 2

As some people know BIOSHOCK 2 is in development and 2K games the developer has released a teaser website for the game (link is below).

Anyway "Game Informer" a Minnesota-based computer magazine has posted a scan of an upcoming issue's cover online which indeed depicts a Big Sister. By the image The new character is wearing a helmet not unlike that of the Big Daddies, with sleeker diving gear fitted to its long limbs. A long-barreled weapon on its left arm and inside a cage on the Big Sister's back is a Little Sister.

THE BIGS 2

I can remember the first day I brought my Nintendo WII and hooked it up to my television. I was excited about the prospect of what this console will do to the industry and how the “MOTION” controls will be. I was amazed but one game was a disappointment and it was Baseball on WII SPORTS. I loved all the other games except for that one. So I continued playing my WII waiting for a decent / fun BASEBALL game to come and then BIGS was born.

BIGS took Baseball to another level of fun and excitement hitting home runs and exploding scoreboards etc was fantastic (as seen below). It's a fun arcade baseball game which you can go back and play over and over again.



Anyway I have found that BIGS 2 is in the works. I can’t wait to get my hands on this title for my WII. The BIGS 2 will arrive sometime this summer. The gameplay was revealed in the teaser trailer (which is below), but it did show an array of roided up looking ballplayers from baseball’s past and present performing superhuman-like feats on the diamond.It is not known at this time if the original BIGS developer Blue Castle Games will be responsible for this sequel. Last month Capcom revealed that Blue Castle would be responsible for the development of Dead Rising 2.

LIKE ANY OTHER STREET FIGHTER THE GAMEPLAY IS VERY FAST. THROUGH OUT THE SERIES THE FIGHTING MECHANICS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN CHANGED OR TWEEKED TO SUIT NEW GAMERS AND THE DIE HARD FANS. THIS VERSION SEEMS TO HAVE KEPT THE CLASSIC MECHANICS AND TAKEN OUT SOME OF THE PARRIES ETC. BUT THE MAIN THING WITH THIS IF YOU GET TO KNOW CERTAIN CHARACTERS MOVES / SPECIALS YOU CAN BECOME A GOD!!!

CONTROLS:
ON BOTH THE XBOX 360 AND PS3 THE CONTROL LAYOUT IS PRETTY TIGHT BUT I PREFER THE PS3 CONTROLLERS MAINLY BECAUSE THE CONTROLLER IS SMALLER AND THE TRIGGER BUTTIONS EG R1, R2, L1 AND L2 ARE EASIER TO USE UNLIKE THE 360 CONTROLLERS. YOU CAN USE THE ANALOG STICKS ON BOTH CONTROL SETUPS UP ITS EASIER TO USE THE D-PAD BUT DON’T MASH BECAUSE YOU WILL GET BLISTERS TRUST.

FINAL RATING:
THE FINAL RATING FOR THIS GAME IS GOING TO EPIC.

THIS HAS REDEFINED THE FIGHTING GENRE AND BROUGHT A NEW FRESH LOOK INTO THE FIGHTING GAME GENRE. FROM ITS UNBELIEVABLE GRPAHICS TO ITS TECHNICAL COMBO’S STREET FIGHTER IS DEFINATLY A GAME TO GET FOR EITHER YOUR XBOX 360 OR PS3.

It's no secret that RESIDENT EVIL 5 is one of the biggest games to launch this year. With STREET FIGHTER 4 already out, Capcom will have two of their biggest name brands out in the first quarter of this year! They seem to be also announcing up coming titles e.g. DEAD RISING 2 and now LOST PLANET 2 (which I reported on yesterday). Seems CAPCOM are having a CRAZY 2009 so far don’t you think??. But anyway yes there is a red Xbox 360 on the way. It has been confirmed and will be on sale in "very limited" quantities on the same day that RE5 launches around the world.

Microsoft has stated the red console will be available in the US for $399; Canadian, European, and Australian prices have not yet been confirmed. Specifics on the Australian bundle have not been officially announced by Microsoft, but the EU and US bundle will contain:

• One red Xbox 360 Elite


• One red wireless controller


• 120GB hard drive


• Resident Evil 5 (the game)


• An exclusive Resident Evil Premium Theme


• One black wired headset

Also Microsoft and Capcom are throwing in a voucher to download Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix for free. Man Capcom love us XBOX gamers but remember it’s a limited bundle!!!

Next Game up for REVIEW: STREET FIGHTER 4

Yes this is the next game up for review this week by me (Lee). Had alot of positive feedback about the HOUSE OF THE DEAD OVERKILL review, so i'd thought i'd bang out another new game reivew this week and it will be STREET FIGHTER 4. The review will be up this Weekend.

HOUSE OF THE DEAD OVERKILL REVIEW By Lee McAlpin

WELL, WELL, WELL ANOTHER LIGHT HANDGUN GAME FOR THE WII. THERE ARE A FARE FEW TITLES FOR THE WII THAT USE THE WII ZAPPER AS IT IS CALLED:

LINKS CROSSBOW TRAINING, HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 AND 3, RESIDENT EVIL UMBRELLA CHRONICLES AND GHOST SQUAD.

HOUSE OF THE DEAD OVERKILL STANDS OUT FROM THE BUNCH (EXCEPT POSSIBLY UMBRELLA CHRONICLES THATS AS GOOD AS THIS GAME). WE'LL START WITH "THE LIST"

THE LIST CONSISTS OF: PRESENTATION, GAMEPLAY, CONTROLS AND THE FINAL RATING.

1. PRESENTATION

From the get go when you load up into the title screen your greeted by an over the top GRINDHOUSE style movie and yes this game is basically a GRINDHOUSE movie. The game keeps up with its predecessors with the gore and over the top mutant killing but throwing a cheesy yet quality GRINDHOUSE feel for example cheesy music and grainy filters over gameplay.

The basic Storyline is a prequel to the first House Of The Dead and you play as AMS Special Agent G (yes the guy who appeared in the first one) and you team up with the loudmouthed Isaac Washington (a cop looking for revenge). You and Isaac go throught Bayou City shooting your way past tons mutants to get to the main villain who is called PAPA CAESAR the man responsible for the mutant outbreak. Along the way you meet up with an EX Stripper called Varla Guns who has her own vendetta against Papa Caesar.

As i said before the game takes you through a typical Grindhouse feel movie eg cheesy music, bad acting (its ment to be bad), gore glore, tons of swearing, great one liners and grainy look. Its a nice addition in the series and staying true to the other games. Plus the graphics are sharpe for a WII title.

2. GAMEPLAY

As a light handgun game you basically point and shoot the screen and you have no control of where you and your teammate go. The game has a varity of powerups whist shooting your way through hobo's, nurses, clowns etc, they are grenades, slow motion powerup, health kit and golden collectable brains. The best out of these is the Slow motion everything slows down so you can rack up the points by blowing heads , arms and legs off for maximum points. Like the other games at the end of a level you confront a boss and it has a cutscene then shows you the bosses weak points etc. After completing levels you can buy or upgrade your weapons eg you can buy shotguns and machineguns to use throughout the game. The difficulty of the game varies from level to level but as we all know easy is easy and hard is hard. When you have finished the storyline you have a couple of opinions play the 3 mini games which can be played by 4 people or play Varlas story and unlock director cuts of scenes you have completed in the original campaign. Overall the gameplay is ok sometimes it has a slow frame rate but other than that its a great game.

3. controls

The game has a great controls layout using the wii controller or the wii zapper. But the main thing about this game is the "HAND CANNON". This can be purchased when you buy the game and trust me it is worth it. The gun is HUGE and HEAVY but then again with a name like HAND CANNON and shaped like a Python Revolver what do u respect. The Controls are simple here are the key points for the: WII Controller and the WII Zapper/Hand Cannon.

The WII Controller controls are simple and easy press B to fire and shake the controller to reload of interact with bosses eg The Second Level boss to shake off the SCREAMER.

The WII Zapper and Hand Cannon are the same but it feels weird to shake the gun because you don't expect it some times and its quite a challenge to shake it when your in your shooting stance etc.

4. FINAL RATING

If you love horror games, light gun games , party gameplay and hilarious storylines then this is the game for you. This is definately a must have WII title. It has been given the 18 rating for a reason due to its gore, language and content this is still a must have game. But anyway with its funny characters, impressive graphics, great soundtrack, general feel/look and plenty of unlockable content, this game will not DIE AND ROT AWAY. I give this game the rating of:
